How we review
We don't run a test lab, and we don't pretend to. Here is how we choose the kit we recommend.
What we do
For each product we do desk research. We read the manufacturer's specifications and manual, check UK availability and price, and read owner reviews from several retailers, looking for the faults people report after months of use.
What we don't do
We don't accept free products or payment for placement.

Keeping reviews up to date
We re-check every pick and price at least twice a year. Each review shows when it was updated and when prices were last checked.
The cheap option
When the cheap option is good enough, we say so plainly. You don't need to spend more than the job needs.
